OCTOBER – Music, Art & Creative Expression

Friday, 17 October – French Acoustic Friday
Enjoy a night of French charm on the terrace with Benjamin Piat and Bruno Geulen. Expect an intimate, “bistro-style” concert experience with live music, great ambiance, and a cash bar. (In case of rain or wind, the concert will move to the Gallery.)

Thursday, 30 October – SolarPunk Exhibition Opening
A glimpse into a sustainable future through visionary art. The SolarPunk Exhibition opening, with Le Roof catering, brings together artists and dreamers exploring harmony between humanity and nature. (By invitation only.)

Friday, 31 October – Lize Ehlers’ Drag Night
FNCC teams up with Lize Ehlers for a night of color, confidence, and creativity on Le Roof Terrace. This independent event promises to celebrate individuality and artistic freedom.
(Entrance fee managed by Lize Ehlers; FNCC building closed to the public during the event.)

NOVEMBER – Farewells, Fashion & Festivals

Friday, 7 November – Alicia’s Farewell Party
A vibrant evening to celebrate Alicia Dipierri’s seven years of volunteer work with Namibian cultural initiatives. With DJ Lotus on the terrace and over 1,500 members of the cultural network invited, expect a lively and heartfelt send-off!
Entrance fee: N$20

Monday, 10 November – Thursday, 13 November – Ocean Documentary Screenings
In collaboration with the EU Delegation, FNCC presents “Ocean” (David Attenborough, UK 2025). Four nights of breathtaking visuals and powerful storytelling about our planet’s blue heart.

Thursday, 20 – Saturday, 22 November – Katutura Fashion Week
A three-day celebration of fashion, identity, and creativity!

  • Thursday 20 November: VIP Teaser Event for partners, diplomats, and friends of FNCC, followed by a French Teachers’ Apéro at Le Roof (International French Teachers’ Day).

  • Friday 21 & Saturday 22 November: Main runway shows begin at 8pm with a glamorous red carpet from 6pm. A true fusion of Namibian flair and French “Mode Afrique” elegance!

Monday, 24 – Friday, 28 November – KIFA: Kalahari International Festival of Arts
An immersive week of art, music, and cultural dialogue at FNCC.
The Gallery will host exhibitions, workshops, and performances throughout the week — with live concerts on Wednesday 26 and Friday 28 November.

Thursday, 27 November – Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration
In partnership with the French Embassy, FNCC and Le Roof present a special Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Tasting Evening (7–10pm). Savor French wine and cheese platters under the stars in a warm, convivial atmosphere.

DECEMBER – Celebrating 25 Years of the FNCC Building

This December marks the 25th anniversary of the FNCC building — a symbol of cultural collaboration and creativity in Namibia. Join us from 1–5 December for a week-long celebration spotlighting language, cinema, art, and performance.

Monday, 1 December – Focus: French Language Centre

  • 18:00–21:00 – Exhibition Opening: “French Teachers in Namibia”

Tuesday, 2 December – Focus: Cinema

  • 18:00–20:00 – Screening of the beloved French film Amélie

Wednesday, 3 December – Focus: Conference & Debate

  • 17:00–20:00 – Roundtable on “Franco-Namibian Cooperation and Artistic Exchange: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”
    Invited speakers include the Namibian Minister of Education and Culture.

  • 18:00-20:00 A Dancing Conference by the artists Marie-Caroline Hominal - Geneva Switzerland and Nelisiwe Xaba - Johannesburg South Africa

Friday, 5 December – Focus: Music & Celebration

  • 19:00–22:00 – French Musical Cabaret Evening with DJ Lize Ehlers and friends on the terrace.
    A perfect finale filled with music, laughter, and joy!
