A new weekly film experience is coming to Windhoek.

Cinema After Six, presented by Trilast Entertainment in collaboration with the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC), creates a dedicated weekly space for audiences to discover films, filmmakers and stories from Namibia, Africa and the global African Diaspora.

Every Thursday at 18:00, audiences can expect a diverse programme featuring short films, feature films, documentaries, student productions, independent cinema and experimental works.

MORE THAN A SCREENING

Cinema After Six is about creating a community around film.

The programme aims to connect filmmakers, audiences, creatives, students, cultural institutions and film enthusiasts through the shared experience of cinema. Where possible, filmmakers will be invited to participate in Q&A sessions, discussions and audience engagements, offering audiences an opportunity to connect with the people and ideas behind the films.

AFRICAN STORIES. GLOBAL CONNECTIONS.

With a focus on African voices and stories from the African Diaspora, Cinema After Six provides a platform for diverse cinematic perspectives while encouraging cultural exchange and connections across the creative industry.

The initiative forms part of Trilast Entertainment's broader commitment to supporting Namibia's creative sector, developing audiences for film, creating opportunities for filmmakers and strengthening connections within the wider African and global creative ecosystem.

FILMMAKERS: SUBMIT YOUR WORK

Cinema After Six is open to submissions from filmmakers, producers, film schools, festivals, cultural organisations, production companies and other film-related institutions.

The programme operates as a non-commercial cultural screening platform. Films will only be screened with permission from the relevant rights holder, and no screening fee is charged to selected filmmakers or submitting organisations.
