Established in 2019 by Namibian designer and creative entrepreneur Dennis Hendricks, Katutura Fashion Week has developed into a platform for Namibian and African fashion, creating opportunities for emerging and established designers, models and creatives to showcase their work, connect with industry professionals and reach new audiences and markets.

The 2026 edition explores the theme “Culturally Rooted & Future Driven”, celebrating the relationship between cultural heritage and contemporary African fashion.

The theme invites designers to draw inspiration from their cultural roots while embracing innovation, creativity and a forward-looking global perspective.

From traditional influences and cultural references to contemporary silhouettes, materials and design approaches, this year's edition highlights the evolving language of African fashion.

MORE THAN A FASHION SHOW

Katutura Fashion Week brings together designers, models, artists, creatives, industry professionals and audiences in a space where fashion intersects with culture, business and creative-industry development.

The event provides a platform for designers to present their collections, connect with potential collaborators and audiences, and contribute to the continued development and visibility of Namibia's fashion industry.

The main runway programme takes place across two evenings at the FNCC, with fittings, model preparation and rehearsals taking place in the lead-up to the event.
